Then we made the four hour journey to Firenze! Where we saw our beautiful apartment for the first time! River view, right off the Ponte Vecchio!
We don't have air conditioning, so we invested in Frank the fan! We carried Frank through the busiest part of Florence, catching stares, laughs and pointing fingers from locals.
On one of our first nights in Florence we took a cooking class with Chef Fabrizio! We cooked at little tables in groups of 6 making caprese with eggplant, pesto and tomato pasta, and our very own tiramisu! Everything was SO fresh and made by yours truly--US! We even made our own pasta with a nifty pasta maker. However, Fabrizio was frustrated with us when we broke the pasta maker! OOPS! We ate our delicious meal in a very cool wine cellar! Delizioso!
